Summary
- Our client is looking to hire a Financial Controller who will be responsible for overseeing all functions of the organization’s financial operations including accounting, finance, reporting, cash management, etc.
- In this role, the FO will also monitor financial internal controls for the firm and provide supervisory guidance to members of the finance team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop financial strategy, including forecasting and risk mitigation plans.
- Oversee all company accounts and maintain necessary reporting to the banks.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, Income statements and oversee bank reconciliation statements.
- Develop Annual Budgets and review regularly.
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analysis in all areas of the company.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Finance & Operations team.
- Coordinate Annual Audit processes in compliance with regulations.
- Cash flow management and regular review of internal reports.
- Develop the company's financial books, interpret to management, and recommend improvement areas.
- Reports to the MD with timely and accurate financial information.
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems (ERP).
- Debt management and collection.
- Process Compliance and Review.
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking & Finance or Economics.
- A minimum of 7 - 10 years of Institutional experience in a business or Finance environment and minimum of 4 years in a management position.
- ICAN, ACCA, CFA or CPA is mandatory.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
