Appeal from Ododo to the Federal Government for Assistance in Addressing Insecurity and Flooding
The Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has made an appeal to the Federal Government to support his administration in addressing the challenges of insecurity and frequent flooding in certain parts of the state.
A statement from the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, revealed this plea on Friday.
During a meeting with a delegation from the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission at the Government House in Lokoja on Thursday, Ododo emphasized the urgent need for increased financial assistance from the Federal Government due to Kogi's position as a transit state sharing borders with 10 other states. He highlighted the potential impact on neighboring states if these issues are not dealt with promptly.
