Urgent Update: Kogi Youths Protest EFCC’s Attempt to Detain Yahaya Bello Over Alleged N80.2 Billion Fraud
On Tuesday, a group of young people in Kogi State voiced their disapproval of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission's (EFCC) intention to apprehend former Governor Yahaya Bello for his alleged involvement in an N80.2 billion fraud.
The demonstrators, who congregated in large numbers, obstructed the busy Lokoja-Abuja road, leading to a traffic jam on the highway.
Under the banners of the Coalition of Civil Society for Democracy and Africa Youths Coalition for Justice, the protesters accused the anti-graft agency of engaging in a witch-hunt and unfairly targeting the ex-Governor.
