Sanwo-Olu states Lagos workers have received a minimum wage of N70,000 since January
According to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, civil servants in the state have been getting a minimum wage of N70,000 since January. He mentioned that his government has also been providing an additional N35,000 wage allowance to workers since the beginning of the year.
During a recent event, the governor assured employees that a new minimum wage plan would be implemented soon.
In his words, “Since January, civil servants and all public officers in Lagos have been receiving a wage supplement of at least N35,000 on top of their previous earnings.
“This essentially means that those who were earning a minimum of N35,000 or more are now taking home over N70,000. This has been in effect since January.
