Suspension of Academic Activities at Plateau University Due to Insecurity
In response to the tragic killing of a second-year student at Plateau University, Bokkos, the management has made the difficult decision to suspend academic activities for a period of 10 days.
Expressing this decision was Mr. Yakubu Ayuba, the Registrar of the university, in a statement released on Saturday in Jos.
On Thursday night, gunmen carried out an attack on Chikam, a neighboring community of the university, resulting in the death of a student named Dading Jordan.
Prior to this, the university had already declared a two-day mourning period in honor of the deceased student.
