The Center for Democracy and Human Rights, CEDEHUR, has ranked Kano State the “worst-governed and least-performing” state in the country since the new administration took over in May 2023. The Center made the claim on Tuesday in Abuja while unveiling its quarterly report on governance across the 18 states with new governors. According to the Centre, the assessment was made based on the transparency, accountability, quality of appointees and impact of policies on the citizens of the 18 states.
