The recent action taken by President Joe Biden of the United States involves the approval of a bill that aims to restrict the usage of the social media platform, TikTok.
Following its endorsement by the U.S. Congress earlier, this bill demands that the parent company of TikTok, ByteDance in China, must sell off the application within a nine-month period or face a prohibition on its operations within the U.S.
President Biden affixed his signature to this legislation within the $95 billion foreign aid package that has also garnered support from Congress, and this funding allocation will benefit Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.
