Boundary Demarcations Seen as Solution to Taraba Unrest, Says Council Leader
Aboki Dauda, the Chairman of Bali Local Government Council in Taraba State, has pointed out the absence of clear boundary demarcations between chiefdoms as the main driver of instability in the council.
Speaking in Jalingo on Thursday, he stressed the necessity for the state government to establish a committee tasked with conducting these demarcations.
Expressing concern over some traditional rulers overstepping their jurisdictions, Dauda emphasized that demarcating chiefdoms would help in resolving conflicts within the council.
He highlighted the confusion among traditional leaders in Bali, who are involving themselves in matters beyond their areas of authority, disrupting the peace in the locality.
