Nyesom Wike exempts diplomatic missions in Abuja from taxes
In Abuja, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has announced that taxes for diplomatic missions in the nation's capital will be waived by the FCTA.
This decision is based on reciprocity, as Nigeria's diplomatic missions abroad will also be enjoying tax exemptions.
During a meeting with the ambassador of Cote D’Ivoire to Nigeria, Kalilou Traore, in his office, the FCT Minister made this known on Wednesday.
Wike stated, “Let me also say that the issue of tax will be waived. I will call the authority that is responsible for cooperation with you on this issue... The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed me that the same applies to them in the other countries where they operate."
