Warning from Delta police to POS operators about giving out large sums of money to customers
Operators of Point of Sale (POS) systems in Delta State have been advised by SP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, against disbursing amounts as large as N2.5m to customers.
In a recent communication, Edafe emphasized the importance of video recording customers and their companions when it is deemed necessary to release such substantial sums.
Issuing his advisory via social media, Edafe stated, “POS operators should take heed. Releasing an amount as high as N2,500,000 can pose significant risks, especially if the customers are accompanied by potentially dangerous individuals claiming different intentions.”
