Delta Monarch Transported to Abuja by Army Jet

HRM Clement Ikolo, the Ovie of Ewu kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, was airlifted to Abuja by the Nigerian Army after surrendering to the Police in Asaba on Thursday. Following the declaration of the king and seven others wanted for the alleged killing of 17 soldiers at Okuama by the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, the Delta State Police Command facilitated his transfer. Accompanied by the Commanding Officer of the 63 Brigade, Nigeria Army in Asaba, the Delta State Police Commissioner, and other senior military officials, the monarch was escorted to the Asaba International Airport for the flight. The aircraft took off from Asaba Airport around 9:10 am en route to Abuja.
